Panasonic Blu-ray Players have a Power Save Mode that you can turn Off which turns the unit On instantly from Standby but I had a look in the SC-BT200 Manual it doesn't seem to have this feature.

As far as switching to digital in 1 and digital in 2 is concerned, you could try Panasonic Receiver Codes (they use Device 160) for Input's...you may get lucky.

The other option is to use MakeHex to generate all 256 possible Hex Codes for each Device Number 160, 160.4, 160.16, 160.28 which is alot of testing and your are still not gauranteed to find any which is common for this type of Device unless you buy from Denon, Yamaha, Marantz etc...even Sony are good for discrete's.

You could try contacting Panasonic Support and ask them for info but if they are anything like Australian Support they won't even know what you are talking about.

These Programs can help if you want to search for them yourself.

Use MakeHex to generate all possible IR Hex Codes for your Device.
Use IR Tool Modified and DecodeIR.DLL to get the Protocol and Device Number needed for MakeHex and select the IRP File that corresponds to the Protocol info.
Use CCF Panels (IR Panels) or Hex2CCF to generate a CCF file for testing.

MakeHex
Makes clean IR sequences from IR protocol files. See the readme file for more information.

IR Tools
Decodes a learned infrared Hex codes (only codes that start with 0000) that you paste (Ctrl +V) into the Hex Code Window and press the Decode Hex Button and a box appears to give you information on the Protocol, Device Number and Function Number (OBC). Requires the DecodeIR.DLL file.

DecodeIR.DLL
File required by DecodeCCF and IR Tools.
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

Documentation of protocols decoded by DecodeIr.dll is in that .zip file and also online

CCF Panels (IR Panels)
Generate a CCF file from the HEX file created with MakeHex.
After creating a HEX file, open it with a text editor such as NotePad.  Use "Edit" "Select All" (or Ctrl +A), then "Edit" "Copy" (or Ctrl +C) to copy all the text.  Then start IrPanels and use Ctrl +V to paste the text into its window and press Generate CCF File. A CCF file will be created in the IR Panels Folder called IRCodesCreate (Don`t use the file called IRCodes Master) that you can use for testing in a Pronto Remote and some others.

WARNING!
Do this at your own risk.
You may find something that you are not suppose to like a Service Menu or have undesired results.
Pay Attention to how your Device is reacting to the generated IR Hex Codes.

Hi everybody,

I'm also just new here. At the moment i'm pogramming my new pronto tsu9600 and i've got the same problem as Veritais. I own a Panasonic SA-BX500 reciever and need the dicrete on and off. I tried almost everything (make my own hex codes with several device codes, frequencies etc.) but only the power toggle and the power off will work. And ofcourse the inputs, volume etc. The play button, in Veritaises case, is not working on my device. Is there no quicker way then try all the 255 functions with 5 device codes? Or buy another amplifier???

Cheers,

Dagmar

No, unless you can get some info from Panansonic.

I doubt they exist anyway!

Well, i think i will go for the middle way. I,m a reseller for Panasonic telephone switchboards. So maybe there's a little chance to get somebody at the phone who understands something. I'll give it a try tomorrow. But after all my attempts yesterday, i also doubt if it exists. It's still weird that the "off" code is working but the "on" isn't. Also that the hex codes of all the functions starts with 0000 0072 and the "off" code starts with 0000 006F. The only difference i can see is the frequency.

Cheers,

Dagmar

Unfortunately, Panasonic won't give the ir codes. They told me that the factory won't give any ir codes of the consumer products of Panasonic. I tried it in several ways but....nothing. I also tried all the 256 codes of the 4 device codes above but nothing happens, the reciever stays off. Only the functions power toggle and power off (61 and 63) are working with device codes 160, 160.16 and 160.28. function 62 DOES'NT!!! Aarggghhh.... Unbelievable. Are there more sub device code's to try??

Thanks in advance,

Dagmar

You could try all Sub Device Numbers from 160.0 to 160.255. I would only generate Functions 61, 62 and 63 by editing the Panasonic .irp File to,

Function=61..63

You may what to use the new MakeHex GUI [Link: hifi-remote.com]. But I think you are wasting your time!

If you have a RFX9600 you could use a Current Sensor.

Pfff. That's something for a rainy sunday afternoon (Or the whole sunday)
I still need a rfx but a 9600 is a different story. What does the current sensor do? Is it measuring the current when the reciever is on?

I'm desperately searching for those.

Thanks,
Rien

Hi Veritas

Try this to toggle the audio input. If it works, I can probably give you those on/off discreet codes too.

Can you help me with the BD/BD and Start codes?

Regards, Ralph

I have a SC-BT203 and I had luck with the following codes to switch the inputs:

Use MakeHex with...

Device 160.0

Function 167: iPod
Function 168: Aux
Function 169: Digital In 1
Function 176: Digital In 2

Good luck.

Joe's codes also worked on my Panasonic SC-BTT190 system.

Thanks!
