I'm also looking for anyone that has found any codes/workarounds for the DLP sets ( I have the HLM-437W). I am specifically looking for discreet power on/off and input select. So far I have not found any code or key combo that accomplishes either. Perhaps a TOAD?

I contacted Samsung and they told me that they do not provide these codes. He made it sound like they were available however not provided to the public. What do you mean by TOAD?

I contacted Samsung and the reply back explained that the they had sent a request back to the engineering team in Korea to request the codes but had not heard back. Who knows, maybe we'll see them, maybe we won't. For now I guess it's a TOAD.

Jason,

Did you every hear back from Samsung on the discrete codes? I have been researching TVs for over a month and had decided on the HLM507W. The last step was to verify the existence of discrete power and input codes. I was shocked that I was unable to find any. This may be a deal breaker, I'm not sure I could live without the discrete codes.

They do not have discrete codes. They have been through this all in the AVS forums. The Samsung DLP sets, have no discretes.

Actually, there are discrete on and off codes for the Sammy HLM507W. I have the ProntoNEO and set the tv device properties to band=Samsung and codeset=0087.

The on descrete codes with that default setting works. That however is the extent I have been able to find over my 2 month search.

I haven't broken out NEOHacker to see what the actual code is, but descretes do exist for the on and off.

Not sure, but I will email what ever the NEOHacker can find on my remote for the on/off. I will post it here and email sometime by Tuesday.

Unfortunatly, NEOHacker does not display the code associated with "Normal IR" codes. Normal codes appear to be defined as ones that are apart of the standard code set, codeset 0087 in the Samsung Brandtype.

So in short, the code can not be seen. Furthermore, I have only seen tools to change Pronto codes to ProntoNEO codes, not the reverse. I wish I could be of more help.
