I'll try them today - I've only set up the basics on the remote so far so forgive the stupid question: do I enter that 4 digit code in the spot where I would normally select "Power on" or "power off" in the "actions" tab?

You have to copy and paste the hex code into "My Database" / "Component Functions".

1. Select the Component (Device) in "Project Components" and then select the "Edit Component Functions".

2. Select "Add New Function", add name in the "Function" column then copy and paste only the hex code into the "Data" column.

e.g. POWER ON

0000 006D 0001 0011 0141 00A0 0014 003C 0014 003C 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 003C 0014 0014 0014 003C 0014 003C 0014 003C 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 035E

Cheers

Okay, I tried that and it doesn't seem to work for some reason. I added a new function and then just copied your hex code above (all three lines) into the data column. I named it "Turn on TV" and it shows up in the component list with a green checkmark and the hex code in the data section. I selected that option with a 0.2 second delay in the "actions" tab, and everything seems like it should work fine. I've seen other posts where people have problems with this type of thing too, I think - any thought as to why that wouldn't work?

Disregard the last post - there was a conflict that popped up when I changed the minimum duration. I got the TV to turn on with the code you provided. Thanks so much! I'm going to try to get the "Watch DVD" type stuff set now using the other hex codes for video 1 video 2, etc.

I reserve the right to ask more stupid questions, though.
