I would try to use the same IR protocol as the rest of signals being sent to the box. I'm not aware of any perfomance difference.

I have another request. The discrete on and off are working as a toggle instead of descretes. Does anyone have discrete on and off that are not toggles?

Solved:
I found that it does not have discretes, but you can emulate discretes with macros.
Off = menu,power,live
On = menu,power,power,live

ok, how about the "slow" command? Needed to set up 30 sec skip, apparently.
