Hi everybody,

I already tried several discrete codes found on Remote Central but none are working
For my Samsung LED 46B7020 TV I'm looking for the following discrete codes:
All IR code captured from the Samsung remore are finishing with "0713"
- Power Off
- Power On
- TV input
- Ext input (Scart)
- PC input
- HDMI 1/DVI input
- HDMI 2
- HDMI 3
- HDMI 4
- Format 4/3
- Format 16/9

For my Samsung Sound Bar HT-SB1G I'm looking for the following discrete codes:
All IR code captured from the Samsung remore are finishing with "0856"
- Power Off
- Power On
- Mute (I can't capture it with the pronto, don't know why?)
- O/A input: Fiber optic input
- O/A input: Audio Jack input

Thank you in advance for your help
Bob

What the Hex Code finishes with has no relevance!

Have you tried these Samsung TV Hex Codes?
[Link: remotecentral.com]

If you have no success with these. Post some Learnt Hex Codes with the Function Name, eg. Power Toggle, Digit 1,2,3,4.

Also Post some Hex Codes from your Samsung Sound Bar.

Cheers
Jason

I'm look for discrete Samsung HDMI codes for their LED TVs as well. I received this from Samsung, but I'm not sure which tool to use to get it into CCF/Pronto format.

This is from Samsung.

In the order of: [Command1, Command2, Command3, Value]

HDMI 1
0x0a 0x00 0x05 0x00

HDMI 2
0x0a 0x00 0x05 0x01

HDMI 3
0x0a 0x00 0x05 0x02

And HDMI 4 in case:
0x0a 0x00 0x05 0x03

If someone could help me out and tell me how to convert this I'd appreciate it. Teach me to fish as it were. I've downloaded Makehex, ProntoUtil, IR Tool, Vert and serveral others, but can't tell which one to use at this point. Hook me up :-).

Did you try the link in Post 2?

HDMI 1,2,3 & 4 are their in Pronto Hex Form.

I don`t think the Hex Codes you Posted are for IR but are for RS232.

Here are the some Programs I use with a short description of what they are for.

You can use MakeHex to generate all possible IR Hex Codes for your Device.
You will also need IR Tool Modified and DecodeIR.DLL to get the Protocol and Device Number needed for MakeHex and select the IRP File that corresponds to the Protocol info.
You can use CCF Panels (IR Panels) or Hex2CCF to generate a CCF file for testing.

MakeHex
Makes clean IR sequences from IR protocol files. See the readme file for more information.
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

IR Tools
Decodes a learned infrared Hex codes (only codes that start with 0000) that you paste (Ctrl +V) into the Hex Code Window and press the Decode Hex Button and a box appears to give you information on the protocol, device number and function number. Requires the DecodeIR.DLL file.
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

DecodeIR.DLL
File required by DecodeCCF and IR Tools.
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

Documentation of protocols decoded by DecodeIr.dll is in that .zip file and also online
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

CCF Panels (IR Panels)
Generate a CCF file from the HEX file created with MakeHex.
After creating a HEX file, open it with a text editor such as NotePad. Use "Edit" "Select All" (or Ctrl +A), then "Edit" "Copy" (or Ctrl +C) to copy all the text. Then start IrPanels and use Ctrl +V to paste the text into its window and press Generate CCF File. A CCF file will be created in the IR Panels Folder called IRCodesCreate (Don`t use the file called IRCodes Master) that you can use for testing in a Pronto Remote and some others.
[Link: remotecentral.com]

These also can be helpful,

DecodeCCF.exe
Decodes all learned infrared codes in a CCF file and gives you information on the protocol, device number and function number. Requires the DecodeIR.DLL file.
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

Hex2CCF
Generate a CCF file from files created with MakeHex.
[Link: remotecentral.com]

Just read all the readme files for more information.

WARNING!
Do this at your own risk.
You may find something that you are not suppose to like a Service Menu or have undesired results.
Pay Attention to how your Device is reacting to the generated IR Hex Codes.

Cheers
Jason

I'm looking for samsung soundbar (especially for hw-j450) remote control hex codes and I found here couple of them.
Thank you for that and sorry for digging in that old topic.

Is there any updates ? Could anyone know MUTE key hex code ?
