Does anyone know if there are any discrete on/off commands for the sim2 range of HT projectors especially the HT300.

Hopefully someone has the direct answer to your question. But if not, why not contact the manufacturer and ask. At ~5000 GBPS it would seem like a reasonable request. Many projector manufacturers will provide such data since these are invariably integrated with some other system.
