Does anyone have the hex codes for Vol + and Vol - for this unit? Any other hex codes would be nice also but really need the ones for volume.

Well, I thought I'd try Sony so I sent them an email. Here was their response.

"Thank you for contacting Sony Support.

I'm sorry for the difficulty you're experiencing to program your Universal Remote Control to control your Sony Home Theater System. Unfortunately, Sony is unable to provide support for Remote Controls designed by other manufacturers. Manufacturers may assign different code numbers in their Universal Remote Controls to identify the Infrared (IR) signal of a Sony product. Thus, the code number used for operating a Sony product in one Remote Control may be different from that used by another. For information on programming your Universal Remote Control, please contact the manufacturer.

Thank you for your time.

The Sony Email Response Team"

I wasn't asking for support for my Universal Remote, I was asking for the Vol+ and Vol- hex codes for their unit. It would be nice to have real customer service.

Sony will give you nothing!

What remote are you using?

Why cant you Learn them off the original Remote?

I had a look at [Link: hifi-remote.com] but I did not see any codes for Sound bars.

I'm using Vol+ and Vol- in a macro on a URC mx-200 (also known as a SideKick to the mx-700). One can not press and hold a button with a macro and get the code to repeat like it does if it is preprogrammed or learned on a button. Therefore, vol only increases the same amount as a quick click on a standard vol button. Increasing the duration of the code sent (hacking) caused the vol to increase more.

Have tried the link given by John Fine above? Did those codes not work?
