Hi RemoteCentral,

I have been sent some IR codes for volume control ffrom Kramer for a VP23-N presentation switcher, but I haven't been able to find any way of getting them to work in PEP2. They look like hex, but I'm at a loss as to how I can make them fit the Pronto format.

If anyone has any pointers, I'd be eternally grateful!

The codes I have been sent are:

Volume Up:
0x00 0x66 0x1A 0x19 0x1B 0x19 0x1B 0x19 0x1A 0x19 0x1B 0x33 0x1A 0x33 0x1A 0x33 0x1B 0x33 0x34 0x73 0x1A 0x33 0x1B 0x19 0x1B 0x17 0x1D 0x19 0x1B 0x33 0x1B 0x19 0x1A 0x19 0x1B 0x19 0x00

Volume Down:
0x00 0x67 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x34 0x1A 0x33 0x1A 0x33 0x1A 0x34 0x33 0x73 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x33 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x34 0x19 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x1A 0x00

Many thanks

You need to know what IR Protocol they are using for your Device and what Device and Function Number they are.

I do not know what all those Hex Numbers are. Normally you would just get,
e.g. Volume Up: 0x00 0x66.
The 00 being the Device Number and 66 the Function Number in Hex.

There is a CCF File in the File Download Section for a Kramer VP-719DS [Link: remotecentral.com]

You could try that to see if responds to yours.

The Kramer VP-719DS is using NEC1 IR Protcol, Device Number 134.107.

If you get lucky, I might be able to help.

This is just a guess but you can try these to,

Volume Up:
0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94

Volume Down:
0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94

Thank you for the reply (and apologies for the tardiness of mine)

I ended up speaking to Kramer directly, who didn't seem to be able to give me any more information, other than "not all IR learning hardware outputs the codes the same". So I ended up getting my hands on a remote and trying to learn them directly.

So here is what should be Volume Up and Down codes:

Volume Up
0000 006F 0000 0012 009A 0026 0027 0026 0027 0026 0027 0026 0027 0026 004D 0026 004D 0026 004D 0026 004D 004B 00A7 0026 004D 0026 0027 0026 004D 0026 0027 0026 0027 0026 0027 0026 004D 0026 0027 1785

Volume Down
0000 006F 0004 0012 0027 0026 004D 0026 0027 0026 0027 1785 009B 0026 0027 0026 0027 0026 0027 0026 0027 0026 004D 0026 004D 0026 004D 0026 004D 004B 00A8 0026 004D 0026 0027 0026 004D 0026 0027 0026 0027 0026 004D 0026 0027 0026 0027 1785

I also have some other Kramer VP-23N codes available if anyone wishes me to post them.

Thanks

Hi, I am also trying to control Kramer kit, but cannot get my system to learn the IR correctly. especially the command for 'input 1'.
Do you have discreet on, off and input commands for a 'Kramer VP-411DS' ?
And also for a 'Kramer VP728' presentation switcher, (IR and/or RS232) ?

Many thanks

It will help if you can post the learnt hex codes you have even if some don't work.
