I posted the following in the Universal Remote area, but since I am trying to get some help with the discrete codes in particular, I hope it is not a problem to add the post in this area also.

"Total newbie here, but I am hoping someone can help me. I have been trying to learn as much as I can about adding learned commands to my remote and have been partly successfull. Lately, some new commands have not worked. Here are the details.

I have used the process of taking the Pronto hex code, adding it to the Pronto software, converting it to a .ccf file, then using the MX 700 browser to import, drag and drop the code into my control. Many codes worked this way for my new Integra DHC 9.9, these are discrete codes not available from the Integra remote directly.

I have used decodeCCF to investigate what the differences are between the codes that work and those that don't. The difference is that the ones that work have an NEC1 protocol and those that don't have a Gap-547-1680-32? listed under protocol. Here is an example:

This one works and is for HDMI out:
0000 006c 0022 0002 0156 00ac 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0020 05EE 0156 0056 0020 0E54

This one does not and is for Audyssey:
0000 006c 0022 0002 0156 00ac 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0020 0644 0156 0056 0020 0E54

I have tried anything I could to understand why one code works and the other does not. The protocol difference is the only thing that I have found, but I have no clue how to change it to work or even if that is possible.

I would appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you. "

The Onkyo/Integra codes found here should work:

except for some corrected ones found here:

Thank you, but that was where I had started. That is where I got the original codes. I have also tried the corrected ones. I was hoping the experts here would have some clue as to why those don't work.

That is because these are new 32 bit nec codes that DecodeIR.DLL can not Decode (YET). DecodeCCF uses DecodeIR.DLL to get the Protocol Info.

This Hex Code is for Audyssey OFF is it not ?

Are you trying it when Audyssey is ON ?

Are all the Audyssey Discrete codes not working ?

Try This,

Audyssey OFF (D21E 508E new 32 bit nec codes)
0000 006D 0022 0002 0155 00AA 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 05ED 0155 0055 0015 0E47

Yes, those are the audyssey codes. The problem seems to be with the MX 700 not properly sending the codes. I also have this issue with the new ISF codes. I will give these a try and get back to you. Thank you.

Sadly, those did not work either. I don't know if the codes converted for Yamaha will work on the Onkyo gear. I'll keep searching for ideas.

The Hex Code Generator for Yamaha is for NEC IR Protocol which is the same for Onkyo and many other manufacturers e.g. Toshiba,Humax etc. so it will work and does, as long as you put the correct Device/Sub Device and Function Hex Numbers into the NEC IR CODE GENERATOR.

Maybe time for a Remote upgrade !

Very good. I an using the code published on a spreadsheet that contains all the codes for the Onkyo products. Most codes work, a few new ones which I guess are 32 bit do not and the ones converted by the Yamaha converter did not work either.....

Isn`t that because your remote can`t send the IR Function correctly ?

I just remembered a Post made for a MX 850 with the same problem for 16 bit codes.
Read this [Link: remotecentral.com]

The only other thing I can think is that the Integra DHC 9.9 needs a Firmware update.
Or if you could get hold of a Pronto Remote to try those functions with.
