Alrighty. I've found discrete on and off codes for the DAV-C770 using JP1 and a RadioShack 2116:
Function Protocol Device EFC
-------- -------- ------ ----------
On Sony 15 80 105 or 113
Off Sony 15 80 101 or 109

Has anyone had any success finding discrete input codes for this system (Video1, Video2, Tuner, DVD)?

Thanks,
David

So I have tried almost everything - a ton of Protocol/Device combinations and I can't find discrete codes for the Vid 1 / Vid 2 / Tuner / DVD functions.

It's quite annoying that Sony would put in Discrete on/off and not the inputs.

Anyone else had any luck?

Anyone have any greater success than me trying to find discrete inputs for this system?

So how do I go about inputing these into my pronto ungarod? I too would love to have the a/v input discrete codes. I am very disappointed in the dream system and sony. My unit has been in service for 3 weeks to fix the subtitle problem. I would trade it in in a heartbeat if I could. Have you had success with pressing play in dvd mode and then using the function key??? I have heard that may work, but my player has been in service since I got my pronto.

mdg,

Here are the discrete power commands:

Device Code: 80 Function: 46-On

0000 0068 0000 0010 0060 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0345

Device Code: 80 Function: 47-Off

0000 0068 0000 0010 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 032D

I don't have discrete codes, but my workaround macros work flawlessly on the pronto neo. The key is to hit "play" twice, then the function key the appropriate number of times for the desired function.

Quick question to MrEos, why do you have to hit play twice before the function codes? When I try it i only have to hit play once to get to the DVD. But, in general, it is really inconsistent. How did you get it to work?
Thanks,
Dave

I'm not sure why it works... my best guess is that hitting "play" twice gets around a timing issue. That is, the system won't toggle to the next function until it totally spins up the dvd. Thus, if you hit play-function-function, for example, it might not "hear" the first function, leading to inconsistent results. Hitting play twice lets the function button work immediately. I quit trying to figure out why once my macros worked.

Thanks for the info. Did you put any delays inbetween the IR commands or just blast them out?

Thanks,
Nimlet
