I've read in this forum that there are some discrete codes (esp p-on p-off) for the ReplayTV that work for some people. If anyone has these codes would you please post them here so I can program them into my OFA remote (to eventually get them into my MX-700)?

Thanks!

BTW, I've checked for the Pronto codes for any ReplayTV discretes, but neither of the two files there had any discretes. I have a 4500 series ReplayTV, if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

What model ReplayTV do you have? I've got discrete power codes for Replay 3000 and down in my Pronto CCFs, but I don't know if they work for the 4000 and up.

They are listed under the discrete codes section.

I have a 4508 model RTV. I'll take a look in the discrete code section (didn't know there was a separate section for discrete codes in the files area). Thanks!

You were right, bsa. Right there at the bottowm of the list for the Pronto Hex codes where I never looked.

Thanks!

Is there any way to use this code with my OFA remote, to teach my MX-500? I'd sure like discrete on/off for my ReplayTV 4k. Thanks,

It will depend on what model of OFA remote you have. If it has a JP1 header and you have a cable then you can upgrade it to do discrete commands. The newer models have Replay support but cannot be assigned advanced codes without the cable since among other things it uses a two byte command. Here is some more information. The www.hifi-remote.com site has information about JP1 if you don't know about it already.

Thanks for that link Jon. I had done a jp1 program to my OFA 8811 and the discrete codes didn't work for my ReplayTV. However, I used the VCR 0614 set, not knowing it doesn't support advanced codes. I'll go back and try the hacked version.
