Just tried programming a mx-810 for a marantz sr6003 and no new marantz receivers in the library. None of the older models work. Marantz changed all their codes; completely new remote, and there are NO INPUT buttons on the remote. There is only an input cycle button to go up or down through the inputs. So stupid.

Please respond if anybody has heard of the new marantz codes. Really need the discrete codes for the inputs. Thank you.

I have not used or programed a mx-810 before,but.

Why doesn`t the original remote have input buttons? The marantz sr6003 manual clearly shows input buttons on the remote. Can`t you just learn the Input codes?
Marantz have a .xls Excel Format File

[Link: us.marantz.com]

The codes have not change from the sr6001,but there is some new ones.

Your right. Actually had to look in the manual and you push the source button twice to change the input. Shoulda known.

still no luck. Have you ever heard of programming software telling you it's learning the code, but the remote isn't reading it correctly because the remote that's learning is possibly damaged? Or is it my windows vista system that is interfering. Trying to figure out what is possible.

I program Pronto`s and sometimes it will not learn codes correctly but I usually find ways around it.
Like I said I have never used or programed a mx-810 but,
1.Do you have the latest firmware loaded to the remote?
2.Does the software have the ability to paste hex codes into it?
3.Can you program RC5 codes into it?
4.Can you learn the codes to the remote and then upload to the software?
5.Are you trying to press the button twice when learning the IR command? If you are, don`t.

Marantz also have a full set of AV Reciever codes on their site

[Link: us.marantz.com]

Its the first item for download and its an xcf file. The codes are common for all new models and the xls file mentioned above is a good reference point for checking what you need. Just wish they had the codes in a PCF.

If your remote thinks it received a code but you didn't sent one then most likely there is another I/R source in the room.
Is there a plasma or LCD operating in the room you are working in? Alarm sensor? direct sunlight? fluro lamp bulbs? etc, etc.
I guarantee I'll tell you the truth and I guarantee I'll tell you what you need to know but I can't guarantee that I'll be telling you anything you want to hear.

The remote was learning the marantz remote and harmony remote fine, the U.R. MX-810 works the receiver fine with IR, but the RF extender won't control the Marantz receiver. I spent almost an hour tuning the variable IR output on the extender, but no luck. It must be the translation from RF to IR in the extender that's not working correctly, right?

Again, Marantz CODES ARE ALL NEW for the new sr6003, sr7003, rc8003, etc. receivers!
So, probably the only way to solve the issue is having the hex codes for the receiver. If I call Marantz, could they email me the new hex codes? They should already have the hex codes, right?

See if any of these work,

POWER ON 1
0000 0073 0000 0011 0020 0020 0040 0040 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 00A0 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0AA4

POWER OFF 2
5001 0000 0000 0002 0010 000C 0002 0000

Try changing the duration time as well if you can.

Are you absolutely certain that you have the emitter in the right position on the receiver? If the codes you have work direct from the remote but not from the extender then your problem lies elsewhere.
I guarantee I'll tell you the truth and I guarantee I'll tell you what you need to know but I can't guarantee that I'll be telling you anything you want to hear.

Yes, even double checked in the manual. The sensor is on the right side of the display window. I used different emitters and different ports on the rf extender. But still the rf extender will only work the sat box and dvd perfectly and nothing on the marantz receiver. The remote works it IR perfectly, but not RF at all. If there was rf interference in the room, it would effect the control of all three devices, right? Any suggestions that I haven't thought of would be great.

Have you tried connecting to the FLASHER IN on the back of the Amp?
The Manual states,
FLASHER IN
This unit can be controlled by connecting a control
box or other control device to this unit..

Did you try the codes I Posted in POST 8?
Can you change the duration time (the amount of time the Hex code is sent for) with software or remote?
