I need a remote code for the above mentioned model Serial # J41719043. I have a comcast remote(top model) and I cannot find a code to work the VOLUME only. The channel button on the comcast remote works fine....but the VOLUME button does not.

It is a PAIN switching back and forth from remote to remote switching channels and then adjusting volume. I called Funai....and they offer no advice.

Do I need to get another remote besides the comcast?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I have a cousin to your Sylvania, the Emerson LC320EM8AN, which I also would like to work with the Comcast 3-in-One remote. Alas, the late model Emersons seem to not be controllable by ANY universal remote. I tried using a Radio Shack learning remote and that unit found the Volume up and Volume down. It claimed to find the Mute button but Mute would not respond. I have been having a running feud with Emerson support and they claim THEY are not the problem!! They say the remote control companies have to ask the manufacturer for their "frequency" (?) This is enough to make me buy a different brand of TV.

Right, NO [preprogrammed remote, oem or universal has ac preset coe for the Current Sylvania & Emersons. You have get a aftermarket learning remote, use the tv remote to teach it the commands, one at a time.

As I mentioned in my post, I bought the Radio Shack learning remote, I think it was 15-100, with LED screen. It would not learn the Mute button. After that I didn't even try the Power function.

I have the complete email dialog with Emerson tech support. Where might I post the info here?
