I have my Bluray directly hooked up to 2 tvs. One TV is hooked up HDMI with 1080p. The other TV is hooked up Component with 720p. The TVs are in seperate rooms but I have ir control of both from either room. When I am in the room with the "component /720 p TV" I turn on the tv and the Bluray with my Pronto using a macro, but i can't change the resolution/output of the bluray from 1080p/hdmi to component/720p because the TV will not show me any video until the change is made on my Bluray player. I have to go into the room with the the 1080p/HDMI TV and go to the the blurays cumbersome menu system to change the resolution/output so it will show at Component/720p.
As I said the menu is so cumbersome that there is no macro thAT i CAN SET UP TO ADDRESS tHE ISSUE THAT WILL work every time. You have to hit the left arrow/down arrows many times. The amount of times to hit the arrows depends on where you were last time you used the menu system, therefore any macro you set up can only work if you left the menu in the right spot last time you used it.
Does anyone know if ther is a code or codes that make such changes without going through a painful series of arrow commands that inevitably mess up any macros I create ?

Does the composite output still work on the Bluray player when using Hdmi/component? You could run a composite feed into the 2nd room. Then you could just switch to the composite feed when you need to change the resolution.
