Hi list,

Just got my Pronto TSU9200 in order to get rid of all the others and making live easier for my wife (and myself).

Making macros is something new for me, bu i soon found out that 'discrete code' is the magic word...

After a few evenings i'am beginning to understand it a little. But still far from perfect; when switching from one activity to another very often my HK AVR 35RDS receiver (or TV) switches of because it uses power toggle...

An other thing is that i can't switch to another digital input becasue it cycles through the inputs by pressing the same button multiple times on the original remote (analog > coax > optical).

Anyone with a working set for the HK AVR 35RDS? The input selection is for me the most important one, but discrete ON/OFF would also be very nice.

Cheers

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply. I'am actually looking for the discrete codes, on first sight the codes you've sent me look like 'toggle' codes (correct me if i'am wrong).

I don't even know if it's possible to directly select the inputs instead of pressing the same button multiple times, but i sure hope so.

At the moment i still need the orignal Harman Kardon remote in combination with the Pronto TSU9200 to select the digital inputs... :-(

have you tried them??
the codes are not the same even though at first sight they may look similar.
try them and then get back.

Sorry, indeed only at first sight they look similar, see the difference now.

Though I don't think that my TSU9200 will accept longs codes; it looks like it's using shorter codes.

One of the codes ('back') it learned from my Netgear EVA8000 looks like this:

5000 0000 0000 0001 0017 001E

Should i covert them somehow (how?) or just cut and past them in to My Database window?

Just tried them (and found out that long codes are no problem):

ON: works but pressing ON again turns the receiver off...
OFF: doesn't do what it's supposed to do; it doesn't do a thing

Any suggestions wha ti can do to make this work?

Thanks, just tried them; same result. ON works (toggles OFF also) OFF doesn't work for me. Found some other codes for the HK but it seems that only ON will work. Can it be that this receiver hasn't got discrete codes?

Do you happen to know codes for this receiver to switch directly to a certian input, for example Optical input or Analog input? A working set of these would be very nice as well when switching from Analog DVD input to Digital Netgear EVA8000.

Regards.

Thought HK at one time would power up on a input command? Off would be input command then power toggle.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply.

The problem is both the DVD and the EVA8000 are on the same input (DVD). The DVD is using the analog channel and the EVA is using the optical channel and since i cannot find a code to directly select optical or analog i'am afraid this is not gonna work.

The channels are selected while pressing the same button several times and then OK.
Maybe there're workaround macros for this, but is till haven't figured out how to do it.

So i'am still very interested if anyone has the ON/OFF and direct select off digital channel codes...

Hello Mark,

Below a couple of codes learned from the original HK remote (in fact de HK remote can also learn from other remotes, but it's a terrible remote to use with 'hundreds' of small buttons without backlight).

POWER:

0000 006D 0026 0000 0155 00AB 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 06A0 0155 0056 0015 0E3B 0155 0056 0015 00AB

seemingly these are 38Khz signals, the second codeset i gave you were the same frequency so it may be that you are out of luck my friend and your amp doesn't support discrete power commands.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the effort; it confirms the value of a website like this.
And maybe it's time for a change of receiver though i'am quite statisfied with this one (accept for the power commands...).

One last question; it seems that is doesn't support the power commands but do you happen to know a way to directly choose the input channel (optical > digital > analog) on this amp?

Regards
