I would like to program my programmable remote control so that I can select a specific radio station by a specific RC-button. I just cannot figure out a way how to do it on my Denon AVR-3802.

My problem:
1. There seems to be no way to simply enter a specific radio frequency
2. There seems to be no discrete controls to select a specific memory preset. Memory presets are on A1, A2, A3, ... A8, B1, B2, ... E1, ... E8. Unfortunately there seems to be no way to select a specific letter. I can just toggle through the letters.

Does someone know a solution?

Don't know of a way to enter frequency by the remote, but download this file for the 3805 which contains the codes for A to E and 1 to 8 and then program your remote with a small delay between (for example) A and 1. I suspect the codes are the same.

Or you could use the pdf file in the above in conjunction with DenonHexGen to create the codes you need.

Yes, the RU990 - I'm in the UK

I've created 3 macros to select 3 preset stations but whichever one I run the receiver switches to tuner input OK but then just sticks with station that was playing the last time it was used.

If it's any help the IR codes I'm using are

Your "Tuner" code is correct, but the others are not. They are the right functions, but the device is 4 and it should be 12 (bits C1 to C5 are 00100 and they should be 00110).

Try these codes (CCF link below):

They work fine on my 3805 and 3808.

It works perfectly! Thanx to Rob100 for the great help.

Hint: Between the letter (A to E) and the number (1 to 8) I use a pause of 0.1 seconds. I tried it without a pause. This worked only in about 85% of the cases though.
