Dear Friends,

Just got an MX-880 and a new Panny 800U. I'd like to have a discreet for HDMI 1 input. I tried the codes listed in the Panny database here on RC, but can't find anything that works.

I even tried the codes here:

[Link: panasonic.com]

Pronto code format fine since the MX-Editor for the MX-880 can take that format now.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried the database codes for the previous years model? The pz700 codes work perfectly for my TH-50PZ85u

I have TH-50PZ85u. I tried the 700U codes and discrete codes for TV on and off worked fine.

But there weren't discrete codes for the inputs. Has anyone been successful finding them for recent plasma tvs?

Yes, I have discretes. They were hiding on Panasonic #13 (I think) generic in Universals Database. Moved to a pronto for easier use. Hope this helps.

I have submitted a pronto ccf file, but for some reason it is not showing up in the list. I can always email it to you.

Could you share all of the discrete IR codes for the Panasonic plasmas? I found the ones you've posted for HDMI1 and 2. I would like the ones for Component 1 and 2, "TV" and all the other inputs as well.

I tried the codes from here:
[Link: panasonic.com]

But they didn't work. I used the two from you and they worked perfectly.

Please let me know. Thank you in advance.

the HDMI 1 code posted above is exactly the same code as the one listed on panasonics ftp site, namely:
protocol - panasonic
device - 128.4
OBC - 176
EFC - 157

maybe i'm missing something. i apologize. i'm still learning the whole process to figure out the discrete codes.

from the PDF i downloaded, this is the code for HDMI1:

0000 006C 0000 0032 0084 0043 0011 0011 0011 0033 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011
0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0033 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011
0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0033 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0033 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011
0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0033 0011 0033 0011 0011 0011 0033 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0033 0011 0011 0011 0033
0011 0033 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0B1E

so i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong? thoughts about the difference?
