I am having no luck getting my Logitech Harmony One to control my new Sony Bravia KDL-40V4000 LCD TV. Most things work, it is only the inputs i really want to control i cannot. When i update the remote to my model tv it has Input Tuner (The TV), Input Next & Inputs 1-9 of which only 1, 2 & 3 work. I'm after inputs 4-9. The Input menu on the TV looks exactly like this.

TV (Works fine)
Video 1 (Works fine)
Video 2 (Works fine)
Video 3 (Works fine)
HD/DVD 1 (Need but won't work)
HD/DVD 2 (Don't need won't work)
HDMI 1 (Need but won't work)
HDMI 2 (Need but won't work)
HDMI 3 (Need but won't work)
DMPORT (Don't need won't work)
PC (Need but won't work)

Does anyone know how to sort this, are there any new Sony TV's that people have that are working with their remotes, if so i'd just program my remote to operate a different model as most codes are generic and function easily, it is just these discrete ones that are a bitch. I have emailed Logitech heaps, and they have asked me to email Sony & ask for the hex codes (why don't they lol) but no answer yet, does anyone have or can get the hex codes because if i can get them i will send them to Logitech who will get their techs to add these to the online database so so many of us can fix this problem. All i want is the codes for the inputs so i can control all my gear once again, it all used to work fine until i got this big new TV but that was truly worth it :p

A lot of the new Sony gear does not have discretes built into them anymore. As for Sony Australia forget asking them anything they just dont know what your talking about. There is a thread somewhere, (cant find it right now) that list some models that dont have discretes.

I have the same TV and remote and HD/DVD 1 and HD/DVD 2 both work but I am still trying to get HDMI 1, 2, and 3 working.

I don't believe that discrete codes have just not been built in, I think they just haven't been discovered yet.

Does anyone with a Nevo have these codes in NevoStudio Pro?

Cheers,

Jim

We meet again Jim lol. See Mr Mod, he has the same TV as me, and he has 2 more inputs working than what i have manged to get going so far. I too believe the discrete inputs are there and i believe Sony Australia in the very least could have directed me onto someone who knew more about this and either they can't be botherd or they want nothing to do with it because it has to do with a great remote they don't make. I have had dealings with Sony on a few diff occasions for diff reasons over the years and they have all had plenty of negatives in them. So it is just a matter of us finding this out the hard way. I still only have Video 1, 2 & 3 working, none of the others will work but the TV does seem to respond by flashing the light on the front after a second or more as if to say sorry can't compute command being given. What you make of that? ANd Jim how have you got your Harmony set with the inputs in the harmony, Method 1, 2, 3 or 4?
