I'm working with a plasma TV from Banyan Electronics. I've been told their TVs use the LG codeset -- some LG codes work (like power toggle) but no discretes work.
I was sent this information:
1. POWER ON (custom code + key code1st + key code 2nd ) = 0x04FB + 0x4F + 0xC0 = 1275 + 79 + 192
2. POWER OFF(custom code + key code 1st + key code 2nd ) = 0x04FB + 0x47 + 0xC9 = 1275 + 71 + 201
I can't really figure out if any of this would correspond to protocol, device, function, etc. Any ideas?

The protocol is nec1. The device is 4. The functions are 79 and 71.

Thanks for the info! Unfortunately, they didn't work, but the manufacturer tells me they've had issues with some plasmas not responding to discretes. I think this must be one of those.

You might want to make sure the info you got wasn't for a totally unrelated model, by verifying that ordinary signals for the device are nec1 device 4.
You could test some nec1 device 4 signals for some other plasma TV and see if they work, or if you have learned signals in Pronto Hex, you could decode them and see if they are nec1 device 4.
I think LG uses more than one set of codes for Plasma TV's.
