Anyone have the Pronto or NEO discretes for the Comp-2 and Comp-DTV inputs on the Mitsubishi WS-65909? I also need the code for the 5th (front) composite / s-video input, Thanks.

This file looks like it has most discrete inputs (Component 1 and 2 DTV-1 and 2 etc.):

Cool, thanks. That took care of the component and VGA inputs, but I still haven't found anything for the standard input 5 yet. Anybody?

I've been chatting w/ Rick Wilson also of this forum for a while about programming remotes. Here is an excerpt from him that should help you. Use your Mitsu remote and learn the commands to your other one.

If you have a widescreen model Mits, the Mits remote can be used to give you discrete codes. You can do it as follows:

Set the Slide Switch at the top of the Mitsubishi remote to TV. Press and hold the POWER button, and while holding the power button enter 090.

Now the remote functions like this:
>>
>> Power - Power On Only
>> Stop - Power Off Only
>> Pause - AV Reset
>>
>> Pressing INPUT followed by:
>> PIP - DTV
>> 1 - Input 1
>> 2 - Input 2
>> 3 - Input 3
>> 4 - Input 4
>> 5 - DVD / Component 1
>> 6 - Component 2
>> SQV - Input STB
>> QV - Input VGA
>> PIP CH Up - Antenna A
>> PIP CH Down - Antenna B
>>
Learn the desired commands to your universal remote. When done, press and hold POWER button and enter code 000 on your Mits remote to return to its normal functioning mode.

Check that.
The previous codes are correct with two exceptions.
SQV = Input 5 (Front Connectors)
PIP Device = Inp-DTV
I don't know where the STB input command is.

I too, am looking to program discrete codes for a WS-65909. In downloading the mentioned CCF, it has all the discrete codes except the OTA HD antenna source.
I can put my remote in discrete mode, on and off is a snap, but remote does not have a 'INPUT' button.
I have the following buttons: 0-9, SQV, QV, Power, Guide, Sleep, video, audio, mute, device(toggle), channel (Toggle), volume (Toggle), enter, cancel, menu, device menu, home, info, v-chip, format, pip/pop, pip device, pip-ch(toggle), adjust (4way toggle), rec, stop, pause, rew/rev, play, ff/fwd.

Which of the above buttons do you use for 'INPUT"?
And is DTV source controled by 'pip/pop' button?

device is the equivilent to input on the new netcommand equiped mits tvs. Whether or not the device button will allow you to access the discretes when in the discrete mode of the remote I do not know. Hope that helps.

On the WS-65909 remote, the two button sequence is as follows:
Press Device (toggle up) then release. Next press:
1 - Rear Input 1
2 - Rear Input 2
3 - Rear Input 3
4 - Rear Input 4
5 - Component 1 480p
6 - Component 2 480p
SQV - Front Input
QV - VGA input
PIP/POP = Digital Antenna (OTA Digital Tuner)
PIP Device = HD Component (1080i)
PIP Channel Up = Antenna A
PIP Channel Down = Antenna B

1 button sequence is

Power = Power ON
Stop = Power OFF
Pause = A/V Reset (Don't know what that does, I did not incorporate into my CCF.

Will post/upload these into a basic CCF for just discrete codes only.

Thanks for the help

I have a WS-48511 with the NetCommand software built in and these methods are not working on mine, when I punch in the 090 code the power button works, but several of the other buttons do not work. Do I have to take myu remote out of NetCommand mode somehow? Does anyone have one of the models with NetCommand that can lend me a few tips?

Thanks in advance!

After you punch in the code does the power turn on AND off the TV? If it does then you havent done the "Discrete set up" right. Press AND hold the power button then enter 090.
To access the inputs press DEVICE then press 1 thru 6
or the other buttons,(pressing device just gets the remote ready)
press device-press 1= input 1
press device-press 2= input 2
ECT.

why have a nice system if you cant operate it, program the remote the right way the FIRST time!

Is it safe to assume that the process described for getting discrete codes for the WS-65909 will work for the WS-55859? The Ws-55859 has the integrated HDTV tuner.

Thanks

The "A/V Reset" function restores the currently selected inputs settings back to their initial "well known" state. This function is usefull in creating macros.

For instance if you want to create a macro to select a particular display format just send an "A/V Reset" command (this will initialize your format to standard) follwed by one or more "format" commands to get you to the desired format.
