does anyone think there will be any discrete power codes for this device?
here is the power toggle command:
0000 006C 0022 0002 0159 00AD 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 072B 0159 0056 0015 0E6C
as an aside, do manufacturers borrow codesets such that there are extra codes that they initially do not know about?

I used the JP1 version of IrTool with decodeIr.dll to decode that. It is NEC1 device 0.16, function 16.

You could use MakeHex and either Hex2CCF or IrPanels to make a CCF file of all 256 possible signals for NEC1 device 0.16. I don't expect there are discrete power signals, but it isn't that hard to test all 256 functions and see.

cheers john, just set up the freesat box today in my home cinema temporarily until i take it to the customers install on tuesday. I use Speakercrafts EZtools which allows you to modify the IR codes to generate all available codes, I've tested a few and so far not found anything new. I'm not holding out too much hope but you never know. The PVR version is due later this year, let's hope that has them from the outset.

about?

If you paste that code into IR Tool, it returns Kenwood/Yamaha, device 4096, command 0, just change the command to 128, hit encode hex then copy and paste the code into your discrete OFF button code. Humax use command 128 for discrete OFF, just use the 0 button for on and you have both power discretes.

here is the OFF discrete code
0000 006c 0022 0002 0159 00ad 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 072b 0159 0056 0015 0e6c

thanks for the reply, sadly i don't have a freesat box to test this on at the moment, i have saved the hex code though and will test it at the next opportunity. as a point of interest how did you come across this code? i tested a few but got bored way before command 128.

Been there, done that, but luckily I found the Humax PVR discrete codes on this site, 8100, 9200 and iCord all use 128 as discrete off so I thought it well worth a try, and it worked!
