Howdy,

I am desperatly looking for some discrete Onkyo codes to select different inputs from the amp A-9155.
The original remote only offers input+ and input- which obviously is of no big help in an install. These amps are given so I had no choice selecting a different one.
Anyone got an idea of how to select a dedicated input by IR? Customer will have PRONTO TSU9400s and one RFX9600, FWIW.
If you don't want to get better you stop being good.

I've got these floating around on my drive for some reason so they must have worked at some point. Good luck.

Thanks, Tweeterguy.

Obviously, this is what can be found from the discrete section in this very forum and which I tried already. Those do not work for an amp, only Onkyo receivers.

Here's the link to the discrete section here:

Thanks anyway.

Ah....integrated amp obviously. Funny the preamp commands from the AVR don't work on the preamp of the integrated. Oh well...

How about something like this. They look similar but are in the RTI database for an Onkyo amplifier, separate from the AVR's:

Sometimes you can get lucky and at least a single command will work, giving you an anchor. If for some odd reason the CD input worked, then you could start there and use input -, input -, etc to get to the other inputs. This sometimes works for older receivers and surround modes, too.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Finally, I made it to client's site and back.
None of these codes did work and ONKYO itself wasn't aware of anything useful.
Looks like they stripped the firmware really down...

Last possible way is to use the front panel LEDs and use them as feedback to the RFX9600 Extender, but client is not willing to pay for this. Other amps would be cheaper anyway...
