I'm planning on upgrading to a HD DVR, such as the ViP722 from Dish, or perhaps an HR20 from DirecTV. I will want to control the unit with my MX-900 remote. Am going to have problems such as not being able to find discrete codes for P-ON, P-OFF etc?

I've been through this a few times now with other new components so this time I'm asking before I get a TOAD.

TIA

I have just gotten the Dish HD/DVR receiver and they tell you how to get the discrete on/off codes from the remote itself, so no problem there. However, I am in search of the discrete codes for other functions and have not found any... yet.

What functions? I just got a 722 myself and virtually everything worked from the 721 I had.

Post what you need and I'll tell you if I can help.

You can use the enter/select key as an on button on the 722 and build an off macro.

Both boxes have discrete on off codes. They're even posted here on RC. The URC software should have these already in the database.
Why all the fighting and cussing? Can't Dave play nice? We're just here to learn and have fun. It was a harmless jab, laugh and get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
