Hey All,

I've read many threads on how to turn on the service menu for other Sharp LCD's (so you can turn the Energy Star setting to OFF....so the RS-232 Power ON will work),
but I can't get to the Service Menu for my LC-42BT10U ?

Can anyone tell me how to get to the Service menu...and in doing so...can I turn the
ES OFF...so I can turn the @##@$@$ LCD ON?

TIA

Dwayne

UPDATE:

OK..thanks to a discrete IR SERVICE code, I am in the Service Menu!!

On the firstpage (INFO), I see:

Normal Standby Cause c Off_232C

I assume I need to turn this to ON??

How?

Channel Up and Dwn will move the curser...but Vol +/Vol- will not
change this setting (neither will Input + Vol+...etc).

I'm close....HELP!!!???

TIA

Dwayne

Please remember that changing this setting will void the energy star rating.
