I am looking to programme my pronto remote, so that I can turn the hdmi audio on and off within the Onkyo 875 menu, so that I can feed a projector, and TV (via a switch), and easily change the sound, so that it comes out of the receiver (via speakers) or TV.

I am also looking to find out if it is possible to change the resolution of the Reon output, via discrete codes. I know it is possible via RS232, so suspect there are discrete codes, just to find them....

Can anyone help.

Thanks

Ricky

Hi Sydinstaller,

Just tried it, and it turns the hdmi monitor on and off, I was actually looking to keep the HDMI monitor on, but change whether the audio is used in the amp, or sent out form the amp to the display unit via the HDMI.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Anyone got any ideas on this?

Thanks

Ricky

p.s. I would be grateful of the Onkyo/Integra spreadsheet of IR codes that appears to be floating around.

Hi,

I have just looked through both the IR library and the RS-232 library.

Unfortunatly this is not a supported feature via a discrete command. You will need to change this in a menu.

Can you give us some info on your system/setup as someone may be able to provide a different way to set up your system.

That is a shame, but I can still resolve it. It will just mean accessing the menus..

Any ideas on the resolution query, I know there are RS232 controls for it, but IR codes?

Thanks for all your help...

You CAN write a macro like MENU, cursor down, cursor down, enter, enter and the like - it is doable but a little kludgy.

Some Samsung TVs from a few years back needed that to get to the right inputs and it actually would work...
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Thanks Tom,

I think this is the route I am going to have to go. I was hoping there were discrete codes, as these are more reliable, but this will do in the short term.
