I have a Panasonic Blu-Ray DMP-BD10 and want to add the eject to my Pronto remote. It isn't included with the BD10. The older Panasonic dvd codes don't work. If someone has a BD30 and a Pronto, please post the learned "Open/Close" code.

Thank you,
Mark

Hi,

I don't get my BD30 until Wednesday this week, but was trying to get my Pronto set-up in anticipation. Looking for discrete codes I came across your post.

Obviously I can't test this, but I've generated clean codes for all buttons based on the BD10. This code might work (let me know)

0000 0071 0000 0032 007f 003f 0010 0010 0010 002f 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 002f 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 002f 0010 002f 0010 0010 0010 002f 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 002f 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 002f 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 002f 0010 002f 0010 0010 0010 002f 0010 0ab5

I tried the code above. There was no response. It may be that the BD10 does not have the "Open/Close" in the firmware.

Thank you,
Mark

If nobody else posts between now and Weds I'll post on Weds evening (assuming it arrives!) to confirm if this works with the BD30.

I remember on my old Panny VCR than holding down the stop button on the remote (no eject on remote) would eject the tape. I doubt this works, but might be worth a try!

I made a detour to pick up my BD30. I can confirm the code I posted does open/close the tray.

aham23 - The code I posted is in "Pronto" hex format, created with MakeHex. Sorry I've only ever owned Pronto's so don't know how you use this on another brand of remote.

Neither code works. Looks like open/close is not in the firmware. It may be that the code is disabled because the front panel covers the disk tray. It would hit if the front panel was closed.

Thank you everyone!

Mark - Just a thought...

The BD-30 can be set to use one of three remote control code sets (to avoid clashes with other Panasonic kit). Are you using the default code set 1? I'm assuming here that the BD10 also has this facility?

I'm just in the process of submitting a full set of clean hex codes to Remote Central. It might be worth checking that some of the other codes work. If they do then you're probably out of luck :(
