Hi,

Looking for discrete codes for Sky & Sky+ UK Satellite systems. Anyone have these or know if they exist?

I use my old Sky box for radio and the new one for TV. Want to setup my Philips Pronto TSU9600 to be able to turn on or off instead of toggle.

Alternatively would have to find a cheap 'power sensor' device to connect into the RS232 extender power sensor inputs and check the status with this.

none available i'm afraid, i tend to leave them switched on permanantly on my installs' not ideal i know but when fed into multiroom this works best. There is an issue with SKY whereby the boxes can switch themselves off overnight so i usually put into my macros the IR code under the SKY button on the original handset, this works as a discrete on and has no effect if the unit is already on.

It's true, there's no discrete power, although the Sky button will turn the box on. If it's already on and on a menu/guide/interactive screen it will go back to normal programmes.

The easiest way to workaround an off command is to press Sky, put in a longish delay and then send the Power command.

Hi, Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the info. I guess another option would be for me to use the philips extender to detect if the device is on, have to check the best option here, I think a Audio signal version is better than trying to detect the power usage as the power usage of the Sky+ fluctiate substancially when recording etc..

Mind you at the moment I have a dead box, so looking at my options to replace/fix this. Not so easy as I'm not located in the UK. Looks like the powersupply has died.

I'm afraid to my knowledge these have not been found yet, and chances are they never will be.

If they are found at any point, I expect they will be posted on these forums very quickly - I don't think anyone would keep them to themselves.

thanks, this saves me a lot of time: I was going to test all codes of my receiver!
Anyway I'm not sure that if a receiver by one brand has not discrete codes then any other sky receiver has no discrete codes... Or maybe yes?!?

OT:
isn't there a method to receive topic reply notifications from this forum?!?
