I'm trying to obtain Pronto hex codes for use with my URC MX-810 for this projector.

I have from Marantz the IR code I need as 00 116 01 . The spreadsheet indicates that the codes are NOT RC5 and to look in the .pfc file they also supply for more info. The .pfc file when opened up in WizIt 9 says RC5x 0 116 1 and the IR code listed is 5001 0000 0000 0002 0000 0074 0001 0000.

How do I get this to look like "learned" hex? My attempts at using makehex have been ineffective at best. I'm not sure about the device format for the .irp file and where the decimal goes (if at all) assuming it is in fact RC5x.

I've forgotten myself which part of an RC5x signal goes where in MakeHex. (Maybe I'll have time later to check).

My guess without checking is you want device=0.116
then take function 1 from the created .hex file.

Marantz discretes are definitely RC5x. The two numbers 0 and 116 must go into the rc5x.irp file somewhere and the 1 is definitely the function number (from MakeHex viewpoint). I'm only uncertain how the 0 and 116 are put into rc5x.irp

John's got it right on the nose. The first 2 numbers go into the "device" field and the 3rd number is the function.

Device Code: 0.116 Function: 1
0000 0073 0000 0011 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 00C0 0020 0020 0040 0040 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0AA4
Device Code: 0.116 Function: 2
0000 0073 0000 0010 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 00C0 0020 0020 0040 0040 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0040 0AC4

Success. That MakeHex is pretty slick. Thank you for the replies and the help.
