I've found "OFF" (RC5 0 61), but not "ON" for the 9817. You can simulate on with CH+.

Discrete inputs for the 9817 come on the factory remote control. Rather than "jump to video 1" they work like "jump to the input named DVD". There's no tuner code, and on (at least) the 9817 there's a bug where the inputs won't work the the first time after powering the set on. Took a bit to work around that! :-)

I only see a source select button on the control,I don´t get what you mean with "Discrete inputs for the 9817 come on the factory remote control. Rather than "jump to video 1" they work like "jump to the input named DVD". "
I will appreciate your help

Thanks Daniel Bin

True, however on the 9817 that button sends the normal "INPUT" command, but when under SAT, DVD, HDTV, VCR & CABLE it sends a discrete code ("jump to the input which has been named xxx"). On this model the codes DO NOT work the first time after powering on. There are no discrete codes for anything else, such as TUNER, widescreen modes, picture modes, etc. The 9815 may not even have the discrete video inputs for all I know.

I have a Philips 60PP9352. Its seems that it does not repoond to rc6 commands. I have pretty much given up on discrete on/off. I have tried all if the different code suggestions and none of them work. Now, I am look for discrete AV source codes. I have found codes for AV1, AV2, AV3, AV5 and CVI but I can't find/hack for TV or AV4. I tried sequential increment and decrement RC codes will no luck. I got the AV code from someone CCF in the philips TV forum. They didn't match up perfect with mine but I kept and relabeled the one's that worked.

Terry,

Why dont you email me the Pronto ccf file (or post the discrete commands that you havve) and I'll take a look. I should be able to see a pattern.

Hi Jon,

This is what I have so far:

The TV codes are in the order that they get cycled when you press the single SOURCE button on the remote.

TV/ANT: Need Code
AV1: 5000 0073 0001 0000 0003 0004
CVI: 5000 0073 0001 0000 0000 0039
AV2: 5000 0073 0001 0000 0003 0038
AV3: 5000 0073 0001 0000 0003 0039
AV4: Need Code
AV5: 5000 0073 0001 0000 0003 007b
Source cycle: 5000 0074 0000 0001 0000 0038

On the discrete On/Off topic here are one's that I have tried with no success.

Current working for toggle on/off not discrete = 5000 0000 0001 0000 0000 000c

Codes for Discrete ON that don't work:
5000 0000 0000 0001 0000 003F-(Works as both on/off toggle)
5000 0073 0000 0001 0000 003F
6000 0000 0001 0000 0000 003f
Codes for Discrete Off that don't work:
5000 0000 0000 0001 0000 003D
5000 0073 0000 0001 0000 003D

Hope this helpss!!!

Terry,

Try this for AV4:

5000 0073 0001 0000 0003 003A

Did

6000 0000 0001 0000 0000 003D

work for Off?

I'll keep looking for the rest.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the reponse.

The AV4 code worked :)

I tried the off (6000 0000 0001 0000 0000 003D) code again and it didn't work.

Now, if I could just get the first AV source code for "Cable/TV/Ant" and discrete On/Off I would be happier than a pig in S@#&.

My CCF file for the 9817 has everything I know of (no discrete on). I know the 9818 has more discrete codes than the 9817, so likely the 9817 has more than the 9815. The only code that goes directly to a specific hardwired input is AV4/HD. All others go to the input labelled VCR, DVD, Cable, etc (so if, on the TV, you label AV1 as "DVD", then the "DVD" code goes there, if you label AV2 as "DVD", then then DVD code goes *there*).
