I got a samsung LCD 40" (LNT4066f) and an open box BDP1000 [it was %150.] The Blu-Ray player didn't come with a remote. I can't do the firmware upgrade bc I can't press enter in the dialogue box that comes up when I load the firmware disc. I talked to 2 reps at Samsung, and they said there is no code to have the TV remote control the Blu-Ray. Since I only respect the product knowledge of corporate product support as far as I can throw it, I figured I ask the real experts. Anybody got either the code that will work or a recommendation for a universal remote that will handle the Blu-Ray, the LCD, and a Comcast set-top box?
Thanks

From the LN-T4066F manual:
Setting Up the Remote to Operate Your DVD 1. Turn off your DVD. 2. Press the DVD button on your TV’s remote control. 3. Press the SET button on your TV’s remote control. 4. Using the number buttons on your remote control, enter three digits of the DVD code (See codes below) Make sure you enter three digits of the code, even if the first digit is a “0”. (If there is more than one code listed, try the first one.) 5. Press the POWER button on the remote control. Your DVD should turn on if your remote is set up correctly.
SAMSUNG DVD Product - Code DVD - 000 001 002 DVDR - 003 004 BD Record - 005 006

Unfortunately, none of those codes work for the blu-ray player. I called Samsung product support, and was told the TV remote cannot be programmed to run the blu-ray. I told them that was dumb....
