Came on to this great forum the other day when I was wrangling with the remote for my Proview RX 326 TV. I bought this baby (the TV) at Costco two years or so ago, and lately began looking to replace the remote with a universal remote. I read on the net that people were having trouble finding a universal remote code to work with the 326.

Here is a cheap hardware solution and code that work.

1) Pick up an RCA remote at Best Buy (Model RCR 3273)- cost about 8 bucks
2) Set it up using code 1223 employing the direct code method (top of page 3- foldout manual)
3) You can now turn the set on and off, use the number pad for the first 9 channels and use the button (bottom left) to get extended channels (this replaces the _ / _ button on the original remote). I also was able to access the 326 menu but didn't fool with it.

I am no remote maven, but I guess the 1223 code will work with any remote. People were previously talking about not having a workable code and/or having to buy remotes costing 10 times as much as the RCA to get a working solution.

Hope someone finds this useful.
