Last week had AT&T U-verse service installed. Cannot determine maker of their remote, but it will not work with my Memorex MLT1532 TV. U-verse lists a few Memorex codes, but none of them work. Contacted Memorex, but they were no help -- said codes are determined by the remote's manufacturer. The remote for the TV is not universal -- just single function.
Can anyone help me stop juggling remotes? Thanks
Steve

The easiest thing is to get a Universal remote. the U-verse remote can not be programmed with additional codes. If the codes in the manual do not work, then thats all you have. One thing I can suggest on TVs like memorex is that if you find another TV (in a store or a friends house) with the same remote as your TV, look at the brand. sometimes if you use the code for that brand it may work. Sometimes an overseas manufacturer may make a TV and then sell it to different companies who stamp their names on it. Hope this helps...

My wonderful wife is a complete NON-TECHIE. She likes to only have to push one button to turn on the tv (and cable box, and 5.1 amp, etc)
I've given up on the simple minded U-verse remote and am using Sony RM-VL600s which have learned the codes for the u=verse STBs
