This maybe a work around for some people with a toad. I have been using a automatic power strip on my computor for about a year. Looks like a regular outlet strip with 1 main outlet and 4 extras. My computor is plugged into the main. Other devices (printer, ETC...) into the extras. When I do start shutdown with MS Windows it shuts down the computor. The strip reads that the main device has been shut down and cuts power to all the extra outlets on the strip. Regular power strips you have to wait until windows shuts down and then hit the master switch. This way it is all automatic. If interested, you could have a toad cd player puled into the strip with the receiver plugged into the strip main outlet. So when you cut off the receiver it would cut off all power to the CD player. Just make sure the toad device you are cutting off will not lose any programing if all power disconnected to it. Cost is $24.00 from cyberguys.com item #1120125
I can't find this power strip at cyberguys.com, they aparently don't carry it anymore. Do you have a make/model for me so I can try to find it elsewhere?

Radio Shacks sell power strips with switched outlets.
hey guys Xantech make a 6 outlet power strip with discrete on off ir codes for each outlet. it a great thing for Hard power button devices. it can also work good for soft power button devices. first turn on the device from power strip and then after a short delay use toogle power and it will become discrete on. www.xantech.com
