Does anyone have disreet power and input codes in hex for a Vizio VU42LFHDTV10A 42" LCD TV?

None exist......thats why these TV's are not fun to deal with on integration

For inputs you can select another input on the remote then the one you want for good reliability...IE

for AV1
select analog HD then AV it will always come back to AV1

for AV2
Select analog HD then AV, AV..will goto AV 2

and so forth...select another input type then the right type and if it is the 2nd input select it again

so HDMI 2 would be AV, HDMI, HDMI

analog 1 would be AV, analog HD

power just isnt there...Maybe a sensor if your using a URC MSC400 or RTI RP-6

That's an idea I was thinking of using. The only tought thing, from a "getting my family used to it" perspective, is the lag time between hitting the power button on a Vizio and when it will then recognize input selection from the remote. It could be as high as 5 seconds. An eternity from a remote control perspective......

for zizio hdtv with direct tv go to progam remote go to vector research they will work for volume change channel on all things just use tv input for mute now I have a emerson tv in bedroom model ewt19s2 need codes for it have found alot of codes on internet none work its a 19 inch got a phillips remote at wal mart my email is [email protected] help

Try going to an unused input for your off command. This works on some models. :)
