Supposedly same as other DVD players such as the DV4001, but they don't work. Looking for hex. I have RTI codes and they don't work on this model. Help!

From experience, all of Marantz's DV range use the same codes, so if the DV4001 discretes don't work, nothing will.

I've been using the DV3001 and not managed to find any, I spoke to the tech team and they said that the 3001 doesn't have any, so i don't expect the 3002 is any different. Sorry!

Marantz has these posted right on their website as excel files. These should work, they are in the document on the 3002 page on the website under manuals and downloads.

[Link: us.marantz.com]

Device Code: 4.12 Function: 1 ON

0000 0073 0000 0011 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0040 0020 0020 00A0 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0AA4

Device Code: 4.12 Function: 2 OFF

0000 0073 0000 0010 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0040 0020 0020 00A0 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0040 0AC4

Although... It doesn't say in the excel doc that the 3001/3002 are supported so maybe these are made by someone else and for some reason don't support the discretes? Makes no sense to me! I'm gonna be mad at Marantz!!

Can someone explain to me how I take these codes and put these into the Universal Remote MX-3000 Editor?

They need to be in a CCF so that you can import them. You should be able to find these exact same codes in the URC database.

jsny - URC said no codes work for which one, the DV3002 or the DV4001? I've been using the IR database on the MX-900 editor and been able to use codes for the DV4001 and DV3001 (albeit non-discrete) with no problems.

Also, the hex codes posted above should be able to be pasted into the hex editor (under universal browser) in the MX-3000 software.

Matt,
You are correct, I can get all of the codes from URC other then the Discrete On/Off to work properly. I have the Remote Switch on the back of the DV-4001 set to EXT for External. I am using the MRF-350 from URC and I am sending the codes via RF and then I am directly connecting the MRF-350 to the DV-4001 and I cannot get the codes from above to work. Yes, I have tried to paste them into the Universal Browser but I still cannot get them to work. This week I will try to change the cable from the MRF-350 to the DV-4001. I will also try to just use the codes via. IR instead of RF. Ill post my results.
Any other suggestions? Are you directly connecting your MRF unit to the back of the Marantz DVD player? If so, what do you have the Remote Switch set to on the back of the Marantz DVD player.....

i usually just stick the flashers from the MRF250 to the IR sensor on the front, that way the IR should just simulate button presses on the original remote and means that nothing else needs to be changed (ie the switch can be kept to INT). TBH unless you're connecting up a marantz universal remote and receiver, i would leave the IR input on the back alone.

Thanks Matt. I will give that a try. I thought hard wiring it would be better since the flasher sometimes falls off or needs to be lined up with the IR Sensor....
Thanks again!

no problem

from past work, the flashers have never been an issue. For lining up, simply keep sending the code from the remote while moving the flasher along to find the best point. To stop it falling off, i'd suggest using a hot glue gun.

Have you tried DVD 315. It's not in the mx-3000 editor yet. You can import it from any other editor.

The switch doesn't need to be changed unless you're using an IR receiver in another Marantz device. Don't mess with the switch.
