I'm looking for direct IR codes to enable/disable the closed captions on a Motoroal cable box DCT 6412/6416 series of DVR cable box.

...Installer menu navigation is the only way I know of.
In case you are not familiar...
with the power off, press the menu button to access the installer menu. I suppose you could create a goofy macro to do this.
Menu, Power, Menu should bring up the installer menu regardless of the power state. Then you could drop down, left or right the correct number of steps to make the desired change and then issue Power, Power to reactivate the box.
I used to have a macro like this to turn on and off the speakers with Sony TVs before they had a speaker on/off discrete command.

Thanks, I'll try a macro. I did know about the installer menu. I was just hoping that since there actually is the enable/disable toggle in that menu, there might be a discrete IR to do the same thing. Appreciate your help.
