Hi,
I have the correct universal remote code (5 digits - 31295) for my Samsung HT-X70 (DVD and home theatre amp --all in one), but I would like to use our Dish Network remote w/ it. I've done all the "search" scans through the VCR and AUX methods, w/ no luck on the Dish Remote. Dish does not list this Samsung model, nor even Samsung under "amps" --where I found the Univ. code in the univ. manual
Is there a translation trick converting 5 digit code to 3 (I tried editing it down w/ no luck)?
Thanks!

No, that five digit code is only for UEI made remotes like the directv white remotes. The code UEI picked for this particular component has nothing to with a code # dIsh may use for the same model and device.
Universal remote codes are not universal across remotes.

Thanks Edmund.
I definitely realize they don't directly translate across remotes... just hoping someone might say" Ignore the first two digits, change the 3rd to 0 and keep the last two. I know, shot in the dark.
Samsung sent me to Dish, and Dish said "We don't have any Samsung amp codes (as the VCR or DVD settings aren't working on this all in one) --so it appears I'm stuck until someone gives me the code?
