I've searched but not found discrete codes for the Toshiba HD-XA2 HD-DVD player. Had anyone been able to find discrete on/off codes for the URC MX-850 (MX-700, MX-800)? If not, how about discrete on/off codes for ANY Toshiba DVD player - they just might work!

Thanks, Bill

It took forever, but I finally figured out how to load the above values into my MX-850. FWIW, the ON did not work at all. But the OFF worked fine, so using the XA2 "Play" command as my ON, I now have discrete ON/OFF buttons on my remote control. Thanks for the help!!

You use the Hex Editor within the Universal Browser to copy and paste the hex codes. Then you can drag it to the button you want to represent that code.

You need to have the MX-Editor version that has the "Hex" editor in it. Otherwise you will need to install a Pronto Editor and create a button within the Pronto editor and then import it into the MX Editor.

hey, i've been looking for xa2 codes forever!!

so, you say you have this 'off' code, and you already have a 'play' code, that sounds good. where can i find the play code? would you mind posting it? do you have any others for the xa2?

tia!

You can find all of Toshiba's discrete codes here:

[Link: resellers.tacp.toshiba.com]

Cut and paste from the PDF and you should be all set. I haven't tried them yet but will be doing so over the next several days. BTW they are different that the codes listed in post 2 above.
URC MX-980; MRF-350; Pioneer Pro-150FD 1080p 60"; Toshiba HD-XA2; Meridian 861; Meridian DSP5200/DSP3100/DSP500C speakers; DVDO VP50Pro; Tivo Series 3 (HD) w/ 1GB storage; Squeezebox 3

They are different because this thread is about DVD player codes and you found a pdf file of TV codes.
