Hello, I have a SV-DVD1E Samsung DVD/VCR. I would like to find discrete code to power on and to power off my samsung but I didn't find any for Samsung! Can you help me? maybe there is a brand that has the same codes! Please help me, it would be very grateful for me to discover these codes. I have a Philips Pronto as remote control (1 mb version) Thank you very much

Sorry, Can't help you on this matter. But I lost my remote for the vcr/dvd combo unit. Model DVD-V1000. I was hoping you can e-mail me your .ccf file on this remote. Maybe it will work for me. [email protected]. I will greatly appreciate this.

Also, looking for these codes (model DVD V2000) VCR/DVD combo unit. I know that it utilizes the Samsung VCR Power Commands, but cant find Descrete VCR Codes. If anyone has Samsung VCR desretes Codes, this will work the Combo Unit. Thanks

You should try the Play button from Off. Many DVD's, CD's and VCR's turn on. A macro for Play|Stop=On and Play|Power Toggle is off. Yo may have to put some delay between the commands depending what remote you are using. I have not heard of any discrete power commands for Samsung DVD's.

Yes, with a number of different DVD's, CD's and VCR's but I don't know about Samsung. The first thing to try is from Off, see if Play turns it On.
If it does, then experiment with timings in macros. Some equipment/remote combinations seem to need slight delays, other combinations may not.

The play dosen't work, the only command that turns the unit on from off is the 'open tray' command. Which, unfortuatly, will not work with a door on the rack.
Any other help would be appreciated.

How about a macro open tray|close tray. It might execute quickly enough so it barely opens.
Alternatively, if you post the power toggle command, I'll send you all 256 commands and you can try them all. I do not think there is a discrete power command as such.

Alternatively, if you post the power toggle command, I'll send you all 256 commands Lou, I don't see anywhere in this thread that anyone identified the exact protocol and device number of the device. I assume Jon asked for a sample signal so he can get that info. With that information Jon (or you or anyone else) could run my MakeHex program (in the utilities area) and create all 256 possible commands.

That command is NECx2:5.5:2
Below is the NEC2x.irp file that will make all 256 commands with my MakeHex program. I can email the 256 commands (all as text like the one you posted) if you prefer (and if I can figure out your email address). It seems excessive to paste all 256 in here.

No, I have not had the time to work on this yet. If someone else has, a post would be nice!
