I am searching for the discrete power on and off for the Sony STR-DA4ES receiver. I have tried all that I can find here on remotecentral.com, but none have worked yet.

Anyone have any luck with this new receiver?

Thanks,
David

Try these:

Device Code: 48 Function: 46 -On

0000 0068 0000 0010 0060 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0345

Device Code: 48 Function: 47 -Off

0000 0068 0000 0010 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 032D

Please let us know if they work,

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a STR-DA4ES. Can you guys confirm what discrete codes are available for this model?

Input Source: (DVD, VID1, VID2, etc)?
Surround Mode: (DPL, DPLII, DD, DTS, etc)?
Soundfield selections?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks -- Steve

Steve,

I don't have the equipment but it responds to device code 48 for most commands where just about every other(older) receiver uses device=16. It probably can be set in the setup routine to respond to the legacy commands if desired.

A short answer to your question is that all the inputs should have discrete commands and probably has all the soundfield/DSP commands see

That is a collection of most Sony codes. Just click on 48 or receiver to see the commands.

I understand how to enter the hex code into my remote. What I don't understand is what does the "device code" and "function" refer to (as in "Device Code: 48 Function: 46 -On).

Try these:

Device Code: 48 Function: 46 -On

0000 0068 0000 0010 0060 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018
0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018
0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018
0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0345

Device Code: 48 Function: 47 -Off

0000 0068 0000 0010 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018
0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018
0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018
0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 032D

Please let us know if they work,
