So we all must be a little slow or to busy to figure out the easy solution. I broke the code today for setting up discrete codes for the input on this device. Actually it is so simple we all should be shocked... The remote that comes with the projector has three function key that you can program through the project menu (to bring up the menu you push the menu button on the remote). On the bottom of the list there is a sub menu that has a function/area called "function buttons". Well after selecting the function button menu you can then program each function button to a discrete code, for instance I made the function 1 button component 1 and the function 2 button component 2 and the function 3 button HDMI 1, well after that you learn these codes into your remote, mind is a pronto 3000, until i replace it with something that doesn't always break... Next if you want more discrete code you just reprogram the function buttons to what you want and then learn these codes. Actually it took way less time than i spent searching the web for this stuff.

The obvious is alway the most difficult.

Probably too busy

reprogram the function buttons to what you want and then
learn these codes.

So basically you're saying that all of the inputs and all of those picture presets that can be selected for each Function button can be set as discretes if you learn them over and over and just change the name in your IR library?

You are right, it does seem too simple. I'll have to give it a try when I head back to the theater job that I had to take the AE1000u projector out due to the bullsh*t problem of bad grease in the Auto-iris assembly which kept shutting down the projector. This cropped up at about 800 hours and is a known defect by panasonic. Also by setting the lamp to Eco mode (which I did for this job) you create the known flickering issue that my customer always thought was power surges.

I pretty much hate Panasonic.

Anyone have any tips or tricks regarding aspect ratio control? I'd like to toggle between 16:9 and V-Fit. I can't find discrete codes.

Thanks,
T.Wells

PS This is for an AX-100 but this thread seems to be moving so I thought some ideas may come from those here.

I was thinking about buying the Panasonic PT-AE2000 as my first projector tv. Are the On and Off discreet codes available?

I do know the code for aspect control in the IR database for the PTAE 900 works just fine on the PT AE1000, tried it out.
