I find myself using the remotes that came with the DVD, VCR& Digital Cable box instead of the Pronto. I believe it’s because of the buttons and the remotes fit in my hands better. Is there a remote with more buttons or all buttons that can be programmed with multiple discrete codes like the pronto?

Steve -- Check out the Home Theater Master MX-700. I don't have one - I have the MX-500 - but the 700 might well do what you want (actually, the 500 might as well).
