We have an Orion VCR (I know, high end stuff). Anyone know if there are any discrete on/off codes for them??I don't have the model number handy, but I could get it if it helped.
Thanks,

There are too many different possibilities. six different device/protocol combinations for Orion VCR's that I could find. Use ccf2efc to decode your Pronto ccf file. That will tell you what the Protocol/Device number.
Here is an example of the one file posted here for Orion VCR using ccf2efc:
"Power Toggle""LEARNED"(NEC2):128.123:19 EFC=123freq=38.0KHz 0000 006D 0000 0022 0156 00AB 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0040 0016 0619
You can try that and see if it works(probably a long shot), but more importantly (NEC2):128.123:19 means NEC2 Protocol, device 128.123 and command 19. For example were this the corrrect Protocol and Device number, use MakeHex, edit the device number in the NEC2.irp and change to 128.123 and drop the edited NEC2.irp (or whatever protocol/device combination that you find for your ccf file, suitably edited ) on the Makehex.exe and it will generate all 256 commands for the Pronto.
MakeHex and ccf2efc were written by Jon Fine and can be found in the Pronto files|utilites section here.
Finally, try the Play command from Off. frequently that will turn on VCR's and DVD's.
If so Play/Stop=On and Play/Power Toggle=Off

In my case, the play command does not power on the VCR. I tried the code you gave above, but it did not function. I also tried using ccf2efc to decode the IR, but it always came back with the learned IR code and a message like:
Inconsistent lengths: 428 total bytes != 14 overhead + 4*(0 once + 0 again) freq=0.0KHz
But there was never anything giving protocol or EFC information.
Help!

What sort of Pronto do you have. Just email me your ccf file and I can probably figure out the protocol and device at least.
