I loaned out my iPod so I can't test them yet. They cut and pasted into Theater Touch, and based on africanpilot, I'd say Spudware had an excelent first day!!!!

Thank-you and hats off to all who helped!

Okay - a little more study and I see the short form codes that were posted were probably wrong by one bit... here are some corrected codes for the discrete SHUFFLE ON/SHUFFLE OFF commands:

Shuffle On - 900a 006d 0000 0001 ee87 60f1

Shuffle On
0000 006C 0022 0002 015C 00AD
0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 05AE 015C 005F 0016 0E9A

Shuffle Off - 900a 006d 0000 0001 ee87 e0f1

Shuffle Off
0000 006C 0022 0002 015C 00AD
0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 05AE 015C 005F 0016 0E9A

Perhaps someone can give these a try.......

Hey Spudware

Thanks very much we fianlly have a working discreets for
the DLO Homedock Pro

YOURE THE MAN! Thanks

Isn't it amazing that DLO takes such a passive role in
finding a solution. Sureley they would realize that IR
discreets are probably more important due to the fact
that not all our customers are willing to spring for the
RF base with RS232? DLO never returned my calls. They
did respond to email but not with the soloution... Anyway
I'll pass on the codes to them anyway in the hopes that
they will post them on their site and next person looking
will find them easier..

MANY THANKS TO SPUDWARE AND ALL OTHERS WHO CONTRIBUTED
TO CONVERTING THESE DISCREETS!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, thank you SPUDWARE! You 'da man! (er...or You 'da spud!)

I too am surprised at DLO's lack of effective response on getting working codes out. I don't think they fully understand the Custom Install channel yet. Hopefully they will get it soon.

They should give SPUDWARE a free dock or something.

And I also find it hard to believe that SPUDWARE's first post on remotecentral is this one. Who is the real SPUDWARE? Fess up! There is something funny going on here...

Later,

George P.

George, or anyone else if you learn those to RTI could you send me the file to add to the mega list files??

Spudware, what did you do to decode these?? In my decoding this is what I got from the hex code you posted for the Power On

Protocol: Gap-573-1322-32?
Device: 238.135
OBC: 241
EFC: 189

The protocol is not one I have seen

Thanks
Glack

Protocol: Gap-573-1322-32?

"Gap" isn't a specific protocol. It is the common system for encoding bits used by the majority of protocols.

That decode indicates DecodeIr.dll decided that common system was used to encode the bits, but the overall pattern didn't fit any specific protocol programmed into DecodeIr.dll.

The 573-1322 is approximate timing info for each bit. The 32 is the number of bits.

The actual signals have the same timing and structure as NEC1, but don't follow the NEC1 rules for the fourth byte (in NEC1, the fourth byte is always 0xFF minus the third byte).

DecodeIR generates a "misc" output, giving the four bytes of data in hex. If you saw that, it would match the four bytes given directly in the 900A form. But the IrTool you have doesn't display that output. You would need to use DecodeCCF to see that.

We have now posted the discrete codes on the support page (the URL can be found on the back page of the Homedock Pro manual). On this page, you can also find many resources regarding the Homedock Pro. We will continue to add support files as we delve into the custom install market, and thank you all for your patience while we do so. We are committed to providing support in every way we can, and look forward to improving any aspect of our products and support to serve your needs.

Also, any inquiries regarding the Homedock Pro may be sent to

Can you tell us if DLO will be improving the composite video output from the Deluxe and Pro docks? The S-Video looks so much better but is not easily routed through composite video matrix switching to other rooms in a home.

We've emailed DLO on this and have not received a response.

Thanks,

George P.

George,

Using the current video processing chip in the Homedock Pro, there is little room for improving the composite video signal. An upgrade in this area would add significantly to the cost for both DLO and the customer.

There are several adapters out there that can convert S-video to composite. This could possibly yield better results than the composite out on the Homedock Pro.

For future inquiries, please use [email protected]
Support for the Homedock Pro and any future products for the custom install market will be handled through this email address, as the technical support for these products is significantly different from our consumer products.
