I don't want to give up on this one, LC37GD4U cant find needed discrete codes for inputs 1, 2 & 3. The following codes do work:

PC Card Input:
Device 30 Function 200

Input 4:
Device 1 Function 211

Input 5:
Device 1 Function 212
Device 1 Function 126
Device 1 Function 208
Device 30 Function 129

Ant A:
Device 17 Function 112

Ant B:
Device 17 Function 113

Not sure why so many happen to work input 5, and no luck for Input 1,2,3. I have been able to find one that 'kind of' worked:

Input 1 "Component"
Device 1 Function 210

Unfortunately I am feeding this input with Composite Video, and there is only two of those inputs available(the other being Input 2), so I don't have much choice where to hook it up.

The following did something that could be leaning towards an input select command:

Device 1 Function 179
Device 1 Function 180

These codes when fired displayed a message saying 'No Input Selection Available'

I have tested functions 0-255 on device codes 1, 17 & 30, and still haven't found what I am looking for. What are the other device codes that Sharp has used in the past that I can test?

FYI, I found some other potentially useful or dangerous commands:

Device 1 Function 119 - Evil 'K' Mode
Device 1 Function 49 - Service Menu
Device 1 Function 64 - Another Service Menu with Industry Initialization (for getting rid of evil K)
Device 30 Function 199 - Public Mode (Some useful settings in here)
Device 30 Function 214 - Freezes commands, after this command, nothing works, have to shut of unit to get working again.

Discrete Aspect Ratio Selections:
Device 1 Function 218 - 4x3 Mode
Device 1 Function 219 - Zoom
Device 1 Function 222 - S.Stretch
Device 1 Function 223 - Stretch

Really want to nail this one for the inputs, please anybody help me out here!

Probably doing the same thing as I was- trying to see which piece of Sharp equipment you are trying to control. If it had been the LC-xxD62U series, I could have helped.

What are the device and function numbers of the input toggle command from the remote?

I just obtained a raw data document from Sharp dated 2006 (not sure which model) and it indicates the following if my conversions are correct...

Input 1: Device 17 Function 237
Input 2: Device 17 Function 238
Input 3: Device 17 Function 239
Input 4: Device 17 Function 244
Input 5: Device 17 Function 245
Input 6: Device 17 Function 248

Yes I did try all those functions, I have done a sweep of all the function codes for Device 1, 17 and 30, and none work except those I have listed. The only thing I don't have is URC software to check this code 251 that vwpower44 talks about.

I have a Sharp -62u set, and have been looking very hard for discrete codes. What do you have?

Please respond via email....

Thank you _very_ much.

Have you looked in the discrete code files section of this site?

I have a LC-46D62U Sharp. Are any codes available for digital channels. (i.e. "3.1") I've tried to use the "learn IR" funtion in pronto edit, but it seems that I'm not quick enough to input the entire channel. especially on two-digit digital channels (i.e. "18.1"). Thanks for any info that can be provided. Sorry if this post seems remedial or redundant.

Unfortunately I am feeding this input with Composite Video,
and there is only two of those inputs available(the other
being Input 2), so I don't have much choice where to hook
it up.

Seems like you are having the same problem as me.

I have a Aquos 37PX5 model. and can use the following code as tgrugett mentioned with no problem:

Input 1: Device 17 Function 237
Input 2: Device 17 Function 238
Input 3: Device 17 Function 239
Input 4: Device 17 Function 244

And Input 1-Component for my set is Device 30 function 131.

As i am running out of input ports so i need to use input 1 - composite as well (for this set, input one has a component and composite port). But I am also having the same problem like you and unable to find a discrete code for Input 1-Composite.

One thing that i found out, for the Discrete Power On (device 17.func 74) of the IR code to work when TV is in power saving mode, you can disable the power saving feature, but another way is to send twice the code:

2x Device 17 func 74 ==========
