I have a Philips PMDVD 6 and in the code book that came in the manual it has codes for the regular xbox but it didn't work. Can somebody help me with getting codes to use the xbox 360 with my remote?!

Whoa, whoa, it's only been 12 hours. Patience is a virtue.

I don't think discretes exist for the 360. Perhaps this thread may be of some assistance.

I'm not sure if you want it for another reason but can't you just use the controller to turn the xbox360 on/off. Seeing as you need the controller anyway to play the xbox360 making it turn on-able from a remote seems almost pointless? Again sorry if theres another reason that i'm not quite seeing.

lol actually there is a reason. I have a y cable hooked up to my stereo speaker because the reciever only has one port. When the tv is on and the xbox 360 is off the sound is not as loud but when the 360 is on while im watching the sound is perfect loudness its not softer. What happens is that the y cable don't get enough power so complete the whole circut so when the 360 is on it completes the circut. I wanted to use the remote to turn my xbox 360 instead of having to walk up to it or use the controller. lol im fat what do u expect!

The XBOX

P-ON = XBOX 360 Button
P-OFF = Power Toggle Button or try XBOX 360 Button + Power Toggle Button" I'll try it for you when I get Home

Actually there are discrete power on and off commands for the Xbox 360.

ON - 616A 0000 0000 0001 0074 002A
OFF - 616A 0000 0000 0001 0074 0029

I am unable to read between the lines here.

Is the code listed above in HEX for a Pronto?

Those are Pronto condensed IR codes. The new Pronto compresses the IR code to save space. The last half of this thread (post #25) lists some utilities for converting Pronto IR codes:
