I am trying to hang with you guys but feel like I'm drowning a bit. I would like to try using some of the codes that I've found to control a Sony Reciever STR-DE685 to turn on/off and contron the volume. No big deal right??

I've looked in the "How to Use Discrete IR Codes:" section in the Forums and cannot get past the "select all" part. When I go to paste the new code nothing happens. The codes I wanted to try first is from Andre du Fresne on 6/27/02 for "power on". (ie: 0000 0066...) When I select his codes from the forum and try and copy (cntrl C) am I doing something wrong? Help - pls point me in the right direction.

Scott,
ProntoEdit's pronto.ini file has to be edited so you can paste in to ProntoEdit. Read a little farther in the "How to Use Discrete IR Codes:" it will tell you how. Pronto.ini Workshop v1.22 will also do it for you. Download ProntoEdit version 4.0.3 if you are not using it already it may help, when it comes to labling your IR codes.
