Does anyone have the discrete codes for the Samsung LCD LN-S2641D, LNS3241D or LN-S4041D HDTV's? I see lots of DLP examples but these codes do not appear to work with the LCD that I have.

Less likely but still a question is whether anyone has codes for the Samsung entry Home theater/DVD like the HTQ70. Here the play/pause code works nicely with power to provide discrete Power on/Power off but it would be nice to have a direct code to the input sources.

I am very much an amateur at this stuff, supporting only my own and family theaters but thanks to searching this forum and Johnsfine’s wonderful MakeHex tool, I believe that almost everything on my Samsung LN-S2641D is working including PC, HDMI1, HDMI2 etc. There is still something I have not figured out re tgoing directly to the AIR tuner at Ant 1 but I think I can macro to it as a worst case. This TV also seems to get into a non-responsive state at times but right now I have a whole bunch of new codes to test to supplement and/or replace those I learned from the remote.

Relative to the Samsung HT-Q70 in my office (which costs less than the RTI remote) I have learned a set of codes but do not know how to pick the Device number and “irp” file to use MakeHex for this device..

Does anyone know if some of the “learned” hex codes can provide this information? I have listed a few HT-Q70 codes as a ref:

Number 5:
0000 006D 0000 0022 00AA 00AA 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 06DD

All three of those are NECx2 protocol, device 67.83.

Number 5 = function 69

Play >/Pause || = function 3

Volume – = function 59

To decode those yourself you need the JP1 version of IrTool.exe and you need DecodeIr.dll

[Link: remotecentral.com]
[Link: john.fine.home.comcast.net]

Ignore the EFC number displayed by IrTool. EFC numbers are only needed for UEI remotes (OneForAll and some models of other brands).

Will these work for the LN-S5296D?

I need the discretes for this model. Does anyone have a full set of discretes? Thanks.

to johnsfine.
what an honor, thanks ever so much for your input, I should be able to work on this over the weekend..

to OTAHD,
I am not sure about the LN5296D since I only have the 26 inch LCD doubling as an extra computer monitor. However, the manual also lists LN-S3241D and LN-4041D which I suspect are compatible. Anyway, I will certainly provide (or post) whatever I end up with to anyone that might benefit...

Saying that they're both similar, I'd assume they work.

If you can, could you give me the on/off and input discretes?

ATOH,

The following seems to be working for me (some timing or pausing issues not withstanding as The TV can get into a non responsive mode and some of these commands take some time to execute). I will understand more after some time to experiment.. Anyway, the codes that look like they work on my set are:

On:

There are several posts already documenting the NECx2 7.7 codes here on RC.

Discrete Mute On/Off does not exist.

You will likely have to create a workaround for ant.2
