Greetings:

I’m new to the forums and I just purchased the Aurora MX 950. I am having trouble finding discrete codes for 3 older components in my system.
•Sony STR-DE995 receiver
•Toshiba SD-6200 DVD player
•Motorola digital cable box (I can’t seem to find a model number on it, but it works off of the Motorola 12 generic model)

Is there anyone who is familiar with these models that will help me?

Here is what I have learned from the past postings:

•There are no discrete codes for the Motorola and the best option is to just leave it on all the time. I’m ok with that.
•There doesn’t appear to be any codes for the SD-6200, but have created a macro that sends a play command to turn it on and a play followed by a power command to turn it off, so that issue is resolved.
•The only lingering issue is finding a means to shut off the STR-DE995. I can turn it on my running a macro that triggers a source, like TV/Sat, but I haven’t found a means of shutting it off without using the toggle. I am thinking I can create a macro to put it in standby, but that function required pressing 2 buttons on the original remote. Is it possible to create a macro that activates two buttons?

For the Sony, go to: [Link: hifi-remote.com]

There is info there that may be able to help you. From what I've been able to find out, Sony has been pretty consistent with their codes over the years. Using that page a the MakeHex program found in the files here, I've been able to find all the codes I've needed for my Sony receiver, DVD players, etc. I'm using a Pronto TSU9600, but the Sony info above applies for most if not all of the universal remotes.

Good luck!
A little nuts, but I'm single so I can usually get away with it.

:-D

Thank you. I'll give it a shot. I am pretty new to this, so I'm sure if I find the answer, getting it into my remote may be just as much of a challenge, but I'll just think of it as an adventure.

Thanks.
