Hello.

I've been searching for days for the HEX codes for the Sony remote control RMT-D182A. This remote came with my DVP-FX810. My regular Sony DVD codes do not work with this player. I'm starting to think there is some special codes for this unit.

Does anyone know the codes for this player? I thought there were only 3 different command modes for Sony DVD players?


Any help would be greatly appericated.

I have what I was looking for, but not without some hard work. After about 2 weeks of searching I have what I wanted. A huge thank you goes to Rob Humphreys for his help. That's a bit surprising, because the list of codes you came up with matches his list at

Your DVD uses the device code 26.18, which I think is less common than the other device codes listed there (26.73 etc.)

I wouldn't have known a way to determing which device code you needed other than trying all four of them. But once the device code was found I would have though each function either is included or not. You shouldn't have needed to find out what each code did, just whether each code was included in your DVD's firmware.
